Cannabis/Marijuana and Student Mental Health - Research Updates and Strategies Forward

The research on the risks of cannabis and mental health is growing as THC rates increase. Participants will increase their knowledge of the differences between cannabis derived products. Participants will acquire the knowledge to communicate three evidence-based risks for student mental health from current research. Participants will increase their knowledge of best practices and messaging forward to reduce stigma and increase mental health supports for students who may be at risk or currently using cannabis.

We will address the opportunity to transform young adult mental health by applying the principles of personalized medicine. An ideal personalized mental health ecosystem is twofold: 1) empowering individuals with their own data by measuring behavioral biomarkers that show changes in mental well being and 2) tailored resources and action plans that engage our diverse identities.

Objectives
1: understand how social and behavioral biomarkers can measure changes in mental health
2: understand how personalized resources can promote social connection and action.
3: learn how technology can achieve precision medicine in mental health
