Integrating Music in Counseling: It's easier than you think!

“Integrating Music in Counseling” will provide participants with opportunities to engage in music making activities that can be used effectively with students of all ages. Participants will recognize why music is beneficial to mental health, including its usefulness in addressing trauma. Participants will identify barriers to music making and will be provided with proven steps to overcome them. No previous musical experience is necessary. Let’s make joyful music together.

In this session, participants will examine staff and organizational culture and explore how to move staff beyond their “why” and towards their “just cause”. They will explore the features of an interconnected systems framework and how it is the foundation to effective and meaningful student mental wellness programs.
