Parents play a crucial role in the special education process. The complexity of student needs and high conflict situations can deteriorate parent-staff relationships. Participants will gain an understanding of effective approaches to build effective parent-staff partnerships. Topics will include (1) a framework for building resilient partnerships with parents (2) communication approaches and (3) recovering after high conflict situations
