As a part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, the Department of Healthcare Access and Information designed and implemented a new behavioral health profession called a Certified Wellness Coach. This new profession provides prevention and early intervention services to children and youth to support their mental health and overall well-being. In this session, participants will learn about Certified Wellness Coaches, their services and competencies, how they can complement other school personnel, how current staff can be certified, and how Medi-Cal funding can be utilized to support employers.
