Sustainable School-based Mental Health Services: Public-Private Partnerships for Long-Term Impact
Friday October 11, 2024 1:45pm - 2:45pm PDT
This presentation discusses how key players from the private sector in health and education can work collaboratively with the advocacy community and government agencies to address pivotal aspects of school-based mental health care—ranging from delivery and quality of care to funding solutions. This panel outlines a
framework for building sustainable school mental health programs and the collaborative role these groups can have in achieving sustainable financing of school mental health services. Participants will learn how to build partnerships that incorporate the private sector, utilize all payers, and effectively and transparently build data infrastructures to measure impact.

1. Participants will be able to identify common barriers to implementing and financing comprehensive school mental health programming.
2. Participants will understand options for partnerships between government leaders, policymakers, advocates, and businesses working in school mental health and how these partnerships can build better outcomes for youth.
2. Participants will be able to explain specific action steps advocates, government leaders, and health and education leaders can take in ensuring SEAs and LEAs can operationalize sustainable school mental health delivery systems.
