Jana Sczersputowski, MPH, Executive Director of the Directing Change Program and Film Contest, Inc has over 15 years of experience in program development, and implementing county and statewide, community and school-based youth engagement campaigns. She created the Directing Change Program in 2011 as part of a statewide grant for suicide prevention. After the initial grant period ended she was able to sustain the program by transitioning it to a non-profit organization. In her role as Executive Director she oversees all aspects of program administration, partnership development, educational content, special projects and event planning. Throughout her career she has coordinated community-based research, strategic planning, stakeholder interviews and personal story workshops on a variety of health and environmental justice topics including suicide prevention, mental illness, mental health, youth homelessness, date violence, chronic disease, substance use, and intergenerational activities.
