About me
Dr. Judith Brannon has been in the field of education for over 15 years and a mental health provider for over 10 years. She is passionate about instilling hope and evoking positive change in others. Dr. Judy integrates her knowledge of performance psychology into her sessions with clients and professional development presentations to create an environment that helps individuals develop and maintain a positive sense of self and a growth mindset. Her research that focused on self-care as a strategy to manage job-related stressors and mitigate occupational hazards, was conducted to provide support to mental health professionals who work in highly stressful environments.
As founder and CEO of EmpowerMend Wellness & Consulting, her mission is to empower, guide, and equip individuals with tools and resources that will help them personally as they work to enhance performance and improve achievement.
Dr. Judy also currently serves as a Behavioral Health Therapist at the Bakersfield City School District, providing educationally related mental health services (ERMHS) to students in need. She is also a clinical supervisor at Wellness Together. Dr. Judy has served children and families in several capacities. She has written grants and created programs to support youth, bridge gaps in education, and raise awareness on the impact of street violence in the community. Judith enjoys music (singing and directing choirs), is a self-acclaimed Vegan Chef, and loves spending time with family and friends.
