About me
Ron Thomas’ passion for creating equitable and engaging learning environments drives his commitment to having a transformative impact on the lives of all students. His extensive experience improving student success began as an English teacher. He partnered with his students to use the classroom and the learning process to strengthen one’s sense of identity and support critical thinking, equity, and inclusivity.In addition to teaching, Mr. Thomas has served as an Assistant Principal and Principal at both the Elementary and High school levels. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Equity and Student Engagement for Visions In Education where he works with a dynamic team of individuals whose goal is to advance educational equity by addressing the mental health and wellness of all students through relentless interventions and support.In almost 25 years of service in education, Mr. Thomas has served as a developer and facilitator of professional learning services and an advocate for educational equity and mental health and wellness. He served on both the Solano County Equity Alliance and the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Equity and Access Committee where he worked to provide professional development and mentorship for administrators throughout the State. He also served as a mentor/coach for the El Dorado County Office of Education Administrator Training Program where he had the opportunity to work with young and aspiring administrators now serving as impactful educational leaders across California.
