About me
Ahmad Bahrami is the Division Manager of Public Behavioral Health for Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health. He is responsible for the county's Mental Health Services Act, Suicide Prevention, Cultural Competency/Health Equity and Community Engagement and Outreach. Ahmad has worked in County Behavioral Health for 9 years (Kings County) prior to his arrival at Fresno County DBH. In those previous 9 years Ahmad worked as part of the leadership team at Kings County Behavioral Health where his assignments/roles have included Administrative Program Manager, Prevention and Early Intervention Manage (school based services)r, Ethnic Services Manager, MHSA Coordinator. Ahmad participated in projects at state and regional level as well as serving on several committees and boards, including County Student Attendance Review Boards (SARB), California Department of Education's SARB, California Department of Education's Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup (both as the County Behavioral Health representative) as well as the member of the executive committee on Cultural Competency Equity and Social Justice for the County Behavioral Health Directors Association. Prior to his work in public behavioral health, Ahmad had worked with various community based providers in the Fresno area as both a direct service provider and in leadership roles. Ahmad’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, an MBA with HR emphasis, and completion of all doctoral course work in Organizational Development through Alliant International University (formerly the California School of Professional Psychology).
